Bestiarium yarn: Irrbloss
Irrbloss is the new base from Bestiarium yarn, and it's a stunner with basically any colour! Spun from Wensleydale wool, a very shiny and smooth fibre that captures all the nuances of natural dyes. With 350 m/100 g, it weighs in as a sport weight yarn, but behaves more like a fingering weight yarn and will work very well for garments and shawls that calls for fingering or light fingering yarns. It doesn't build up much, as a woolen spun yarn does, and will create cool and light items with a nice drape.
All colours are dyed here in my forest studio, using organic materials such as plants, leaves, roots and insects. Each skein is unique and colours are non-repeatable so please make sure to get enough for the project you have in mind! Alternating skeins is always recommended with hand dyed yarns to avoid a clear line when changing skeins. Colours may bleed slightly, and shades dyed with indigo may turn your fingers lightly blue when you work with them, in a natural process called crocking.
