Bestiarium yarn: Basilisk
Basilisk from Bestiarium yarns is a classic silk mohair blend that creates a soft, fuzzy halo when held together with other yarns, or very airy, lightweight garments when held double.
All colours are dyed here in my forest studio, using organic materials such as plants, leaves, roots and insects. Each skein is unique and colours are non-repeatable so please make sure to get enough for the project you have in mind! Alternating skeins is always recommended with hand dyed yarns to avoid a clear line when changing skeins. Colours may bleed slightly, and shades dyed with indigo may turn your fingers lightly blue when you work with them, in a natural process called crocking.
